PRUSTs three tame horses are trotting to Art Week’s Art Bar Extravaganza with a new, bizarre PETTING ZOO experience: ZOO PETTING YOU. As a performance, FALABELLA, APPALOOSA and COB graze around their new reservation, going about their daily horse lifestyle. Bear witness to horses put on show, but who have now learned to hold their own brushes. As foals in 2021 PRUST performed their piece PETTING ZOO, where the domestication of the young horses has since continued, and can now be experienced again at ZOO PETTING YOU. Come and learn how to be a good horse with PRUST – brush us, yourself and others!
The performance work questions how social behaviour is validated within ourselves and amongst
each other. Like in 2021, PRUST asks what it means to be free – now not only in artistic expression,
but as social beings. At the centre of Copenhagen's art scene, PETTING ZOO is reflected back onto
the public. How are you domesticated in the art scene’s stables? Where do you graze and where are
the fences around your reservation? And how do you saddle up for the zoo?
