In 2018, four artists moved into an empty shop in Værebro Park’s town centre. During six months, they had to work and develop art in dialogue with the park’s residents. It became, among other things, an art trail that everyone can contribute to and a painting school, because the residents didn’t just want to look and talk about art, but wanted to be creative together. The four artists were: Karoline H. Larsen, Jesper Aabille, Heine Thorhauge Mathiasen and Javier Tapia.
The artists’ temporary activities and works now form the basis for three permanent works.
The project is a collaboration between Statens Kunstfond, Gladsaxe Municipality, the regional institution Skovbrynet, the housing company GAB and the housing department Værebro Park, which has contributed with employees, premises and money.
