Artist Molly Haslund hosts a free open workshop for adults and children where you can make your own paper flower and get a unique piece of poetry to go with it. Paper artist Lawrence Ebelle teaches you how to craft your own beautiful flower from crepe paper using only scissors and a glue gun. Meanwhile, author Tomas Lagermand Lundme writes a personal verse on a manila tag that you can tie to your flower.
The workshop is for everyone, and you can make paper flowers of different difficulty levels, so that adults as well as children can participate. We recommended that children under the age of 9 are accompanied by an adult. It is free to attend the workshop, which is an open drop-in format. The workshop takes place on the 1st floor of the Amager Center next to Name It and Weekday.
“Say it with flowers” is part of Molly Haslund’s contribution to the exhibition platform FABRIKKEN Afd. AC in the Amager Center, where you can experience fleeting glimpses of her performance “Flower Drop” on the info screens in the center until 30 June. FABRIKKEN Afd. AC is a collaboration between the Amager Center and Fonden FABRIKKEN for Kunst og Design.
