Aqua Drama brings water to the center of its narrative in a dream-induced world shaped through sculpture, performance and stagecraft. The production addresses the actual and symbolic values of water through the adventures of a group of bizarre characters who wander through a sci-fi desert landscape in search of water.
In this dystopian world, stories about water have become ubiquitous and a whole genre of ‘water theater’ has developed. They spend their time telling each other stories about the rare liquid, animating the stage with wandering daydreams of a population hallucinating about losing its most precious element – the human imagination is the last resort for the species.
