Unique concert performance at the Round Tower. Composer Katinka Fogh Vindelev and visual artist Marie Kølbæk Iversen will remake their performance Gravitational Shift for the Round Tower and it is a unique way of experiencing the work. 8 singers and performers will with their voices guide, the audience all the way up through the Round Tower. The audience will be surrounded by singing voices, and on the way up there will be stops at selected places where the audience is invited to sing along.

Gravitational Shift is a choral work based on time-stretched sound recordings of women’s affective birthing sounds to obtain the concealed melodies of fright and pain.Since 2019, the work has manifested itself in various forms of expression and presentation – as a songbook, installation and choral work. The work tries to share the isolating pain experiences and make them collectively accessible through music. The pain should be shared and is for everyone. Therefore, the work must travel through different bodies and voices, in order to achieve a very special multifaceted human sound.

Classical singer and electroacoustic composer Katinka Fogh Vindelev and visual artist Marie Kølbæk Iversen have previously collaborated on the opera Moonologue, performed at Louisiana as a part of the exhibition The Moon. Further, Kølbæk Iversen released her record Donnimaar. Vredens Børn on Fogh Vindelev’s label MoBC Records in 2021-22.
