A smiling mermaid and friendly guardsman packaged in a sixties colours and style. Images many still associate with Denmark’s capital Copenhagen. But who created these iconic figures? Discover the fascinating story of poster artist Ib Antoni – a Dane who achieved world fame from the fifties to the seventies then disappeared from view. On the 50 th anniversary of his death, the Museum of Copenhagen presents the man Ib Antoni in the context of the world and time he lived in. Original drawings and designs never shown before are exhibited alongside iconic works that put Denmark and its products firmly on the world map.
