Table of Tales by Jesper Aabille is a public artwork based on co-creation in the residential area Værebro Park. The artwork is centered around tales from the residents and their everyday life in the area. These tales lay the foundation for several colorful picnic tables, placed in the center of the park. Here, the tales have been carved in different types of wood that shape the motifs in the table surface. Table of Tales is an artwork that brings the residents together and provides the framework for conversation. It is a meeting point that both illustrates a collective narrative and at the same time enables new tales to arise.

The art work can be experienced throughout the Art Week period. In addition, on June 9 you can see the work in connection with the annual summer party in Værebro Park, where you can meet the artist.

Table of Tales is a part of the art project Kunst i Værebro Park that started in 2018, where The Danish Arts Foundation invited four artists to make artistic projects and invite the art into the residents’ everyday life.
