Liesel Burisch’s exhibition transforms O—Overgaden’s ground floor into an insistent and seductive total installation of thundering beats and hypnotic voices merging with scaffolding, zine publications, glass racks, and poster walls. Central within the exhibition, Burisch presents a new large multi-channel video work, shot using a drone, and inviting the viewer inside, behind the closed doors of clubs and bars to a universal dream space. Outside opening hours, while guests are away, different people from the queer club scene fantasize about how an inclusive reality could look through dance, dialogue, and performance. The video brings us to party preparations, the pleasure of the party itself, and the challenge of getting back home, and is shot at O—Overgaden as well as in clubs and bars in collaboration with different people from the queer club scene.
