Join us for an Art Morning in the Ole Vinter Room, where Curator Olga Zolin will be discussing the role of printmaking in contemporary art with Master Printer Kell Johan Frimor. The event will take place in connection with the project room’s current exhibition Leave Me Breathless by Jóhan Martin Christiansen.

The exhibition Leave Me Breathless is thought especially for the meeting room in Ole Vinter’s iconic one-storey terraced building from 1953 situated in Håndværkerbyen, Valby. In the installation Jóhan Martin Christiansen addresses the building’s double-height ceilings and the warmth of the light that pours in from the north turning windows of the studio. In Leave Me Breathless Christiansen reminds us that our access to the world is mediated through our senses. He accentuates the imprints of time with the installation of a horizontal band of a delicately tinted pink frieze of plaster that defines the perimeter of the room by running along its walls.

Coffee/tea and pastries will be served.

Jóhan Martin Christiansen (1987) lives and works in Copenhagen. He received an MFA from Malmö Art Academy and is a recipient of Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen Talent Award.

Wednesday 7 June at 9-10
The event will be in Danish and English
