For the solo exhibition at FOYERcontemporary, Sif Hedegård has created an exhibition with an installation approach, consisting of ornate ornamented mirrors, abstract mannequins, and a series of robes as part of performative strategies that investigate identity and being. Materials such as felt, plastic, cotton and paper are layered into shape.
With inspiration from the world of the film and the story of the inspired piece of clothing, as well as her own personal story, Sif Hedegård examines identity, fantasy, and bodily dimensions.
At a performance on the opening night, this is further explored in a performative fashion show with the robes.
