Attracted by the good weather, more Copenhagers came out to see the diverse amount of art events, and because of the new spring dates the more than 50 participating institutions could report of a boom in the number of visitors during the week, the festival took place.
Due to the success, Art Week 2019 will also take place in May – more precisely on the 23th – 26th. During these art packed days, visitors can attend exhibitions, guided tours, talks, debates, sailboat trips, ArtBars, art after hours and much, much more. Furthermore, the art prize, Remmen Fondens kunstpris, and Gallery Day & Night will play a dominant role in this year’s festival.
In addition to the public programme, an industry programme, in which national and international curators and professionals are invited to take part in portfolio exhibitions, seminars, studio visits, will take place from the 21st of May.
