We will kick off Art Week – a festival of visual art – with an intense party programme, which includes, among others, the energetic Young Boy Dancing Group and a musical performance by artist Adam Christensen in Nikolaj Tower.
It is usually a huge attraction when Art Week and Nikolaj Kunsthal invite to an opening party. This year’s contemporary art festival will kick off with a spectacular performance by the artist collective Young Boy Dancing Group led by Manuel Scheiwiller in close collaboration with Maria Metsalu and Nicolas Roses. Young Boy Dancing Group’s performances are situated at the crossroads between actionist improvisations and choreographed dance performances – and they often involve a number of local performers in their show.
Adam Christensen is also on the opening programme of the evening. Equipped with his accordion, he will – with trembling fervor – give a performance on his way up the historic tower of Nikolaj Kunsthal.
DJ Sara Vita will provide the evening’s soundtrack with an eclectic mix of electronic genres ranging from funky house to heavy deep house and minimal tech.
